ATENCIONES DE LA “RUTA MEDICA” LLEGAN A LINARES La Ruta Médica se ha implementado en Curicó, Talca y Linares. ste martes se do inicio en Linares ala E “Ruta Médica 2024”, un programa cla-ve para la atención de salud de personas en situación de calle, en la Región del Maule.
La iniciativa, liderada por el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social y Familia y ejecutada por la Universidad Católica del Maule (UCM), busen ofrecer asistencia médica y acompañamiento integral a quienes viven en vulnerabilidad extrema, con el objetivo de prevenir el deterioro de su salud y mejorar su calidad de vida.
El programa, que cuenta con 50 salidas planifi adas hasta enero de 2025, se concentrará en las comunas de Linares, Talca y Curicó, donde se registra el mayor número de personas en situación de calle en la región. mó la seremi de Desarrollo Social y Familia, Sandra Lastra Morales. DESAFÍO Paloma Rojas, médico cirujano de la Ruta Médica, compartió su experiencia sobre las complejidades que enfrentan al brindar atención en terreno. Uno de los principales desafos, explicó, es generar un vínculo con los pa cientes, quienes a menudo se sienten rechazados por la sociedad y desconfían del sistema de salud. “Nuestro trabajo no solo consiste en brindar tratamiento, sino también en construir una relación de confianza para que accedan a os servicios de salud que necesitan', señaló Rojas.
Las patologías que presentan las personas en situación de calle son diversas y muchas veces complejas, Van desde problemas de salud mental, como depresión o ansiedad, hasta enfermedades crónicas, infecciones e incluso lesiones que requieren curaciones. “Siempre tratamos de estabilizar a los pacientes, ys la gravedad lo amerita, se derivan a centros de salud u hospitales para su atención especializada”, agregó Rojas. NECESIDADES“Este programa es una respuesta concreta a las necesidades de las personas en situación de calle, quienes, debido a las difíciles condiciones, enfrentan un deterioro significativo de su salud. La Ruta Médica permite llevarles atención directamente a los puntos donde pernoctan, evitando complicaciones graves y resguarando su bienestar de manera oportuna” afr-El programa no solo proporciona atención médica primaria. El equipo multidisciplinario, compuesto por un médico, una enfermera, un técnico en enfermería y una asistente social, trabaja para ofrecer apoyo integral alos usuarios.. Para personas en situación de calle. Continúa con salidas tres veces por semana en Linares, Talca y Curicó. Según el Anexo Calle del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, son más de 1.300 personas en situación de calle, solo en el Maule. La Ruta Médica se ha implementado en Curicó, Talca y Linares.
