CARTAS: INVERSIÓN Y SALUD Señor Director: Es cierto que la industria de la salud es una actividad económica dificil de entender, y aparentemente aún más compleja de proyectar, para la toma de decisiones de inversión.
El hecho de que haya una fuerte tiuctuación en el valor de las empresas en función de los movimientos mundiales, como la aparición de una pandemia, hace pensar que el riesgo y la probabilidad de perder al invertir en empresas de salud es demasiado alto. Sin embargo, la realidad indica indica que dependiendo de los casos esta industria también posee características que permiten mirarla como una opción de inversión.
El ETF Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV), instrumento que sigue el rendimiento de empresas del sector dula salud en diversas áreas, martó un incremento de su valorización en los últimos cinco años de un 64,96%. En el ETF una de las empresas que destaca por su relevancia es United Health Gmup (UHG), que es el mayor conglomerado del mundo, valorizado en US$500 mil millones, y que recientemente anunció la venta del grupo Banmedica, creció 126,56% en cinco años, y sin pandemia pandemia en solo un año creció 11,79%.
